Egypt is almost entirely in the tropical arid zone.
The air is dry. Only by the Mediterranean coast does one get some rainfall. Spring (until May) is a gentle, sunny although season with sudden changes in temperature.
Summer temperatures are high throughout, with an increase in temperature going south. The best tourist season is autumn, and even the period from December to February in Upper Egypt.
The months of June, July and August are generally the hottest and December to January is classed as winter, though it’s never cold in the sense that we are used to in most of Europe.
The Sinai Peninsula :The climate is basically hot and dry. Summer is very hot with temperatures up to 40°C, but winters are much cooler averaging a pleasant 18°C
